The global corrosion control and protective coatings community submitted a near-record total of 46 nominations for the Materials Performance (MP) 2023 Corrosion Innovation of the Year Awards program, for which we are pleased to announce 10 winners.  

In a ceremony adjacent to the Exhibit Hall entrance, winners will be announced and honored with trophies at 4:45 p.m. Monday from the 2023 AMPP Annual Conference + Expo in Denver.  

The complete list of all 2023 finalists can be accessed at the Awards web site, along with information on the previous class of winners in 2021. Each cycle’s winners are selected by a diverse panel of corrosion-control experts representing various disciplines within the industry.

The biennial program, which began in 2014, provides a forum for AMPP members and customers to showcase their corrosion mitigation technologies and receive recognition for their innovative solutions.

To be considered a corrosion innovation, nominated projects must show the potential for a significant positive impact in corrosion control. Innovations can be related to coatings and linings, materials design, instrumentation, testing, modeling/risk assessment, cathodic protection, chemical treatment, or anything else that directly relates to corrosion prevention and mitigation.
