After presenting their research projects this week, winners of AMPP’s 2023 Student Poster Session will be announced in a ceremony on Wednesday afternoon.
Student posters have been on display since Monday in the Exhibit Hall. These posters, created by students from undergraduate and graduate programs around the world, showcase student research on a variety of topics in corrosion science, corrosion engineering, and applied corrosion technology. Posters will be available for viewing until the ceremony, so make sure to stop by to view the posters before the ceremony begins.
At the ceremony, first-place, second-place, and third-place posters will be announced in three categories, along with the best undergraduate poster. The winning students will receive monetary prizes, sponsored by BP, and the first-place winners of each category will be invited to publish an open access Poster Award Research Letter in CORROSION journal, the sponsoring publication.
The ceremony will be held from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Exhibit Hall near the Student Poster Session and will be livestreamed on social media by CORROSION journal.
Here's our look at some of Monday's happenings, which included the Expo Grand Opening and a keynote address from legendary football quarterback and television broadcaster Terry Bradshaw.
