On the final day of the 2022 AMPP Annual Conference + Expo, Thursday’s Corrosion in Nuclear Systems symposium will feature technical papers on materials-related issues encountered in the generation of nuclear power energy in light, heavy, and advanced nuclear power reactors and plants.
These issues can include degradation mechanisms for materials and components in service. Materials manufacturing and materials development techniques for current and advanced materials for nuclear power generation, including areas like additive or other advanced manufacturing techniques, may be discussed. Papers may also focus on materials issues related to long-term plant operations and nuclear waste.
With Sheewa Feng as Chair and Sandeep Chawla as Vice Chair, the event will be held in Room 214 B at the Henry B. González Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas. The symposium will run from 8:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. local time on Thursday.
As one of the week’s flagship events in San Antonio, AMPP and its exhibitors are excited to unite in person at the Exhibit Hall while networking and fostering new relationships.
