A number of specialized learning opportunities are being offered Monday at the 2024 AMPP Annual Conference + Expo. Several symposiums will be available to choose from, including the following.
The “Implementing Successful Material Sustainability and Material Stewardship Practices” symposium will be chaired by Sandy Williamson and vice-chaired by Elaine Bowman. It will take place from 8:00 to 11:30 a.m. local time in room R08.
This symposium features technical papers on material sustainability and material stewardship practices that are becoming increasingly important for today’s organizations. This symposium aims to present the concepts of materials sustainability and materials stewardship within the circular economy as additional principles to consider within corrosion management best practices.
A number of organizations are being invited to present case histories of implementing materials sustainability and materials stewardship.
MEanwhile, the “Mechanisms of Localized Corrosion” symposium will be chaired by Angeire Huggins and vice-chaired by Mariano Kappes. It will take place from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m. local time in room R07.
This symposium will feature technical papers on mechanisms; traditional and novel research and test methodologies; real cases including failure analyses, modeling, and monitoring techniques; as well as strategies for assessing and controlling localized corrosion in all industrial applications.
Finally, the “Facilities Integrity and Process Safety” symposium will be chaired by Michael Snow and vice-chaired by Alyn Jenkins. It will take place from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. local time in room R04.
This symposium will feature technical papers on the management of corrosion, process safety, and assets related to facilities for oil and gas midstream, upstream, and downstream.
