Wednesday’s Sessions Shine Light on Machine Learning, Laser Ablation

Attendees can gain insights on machine learning, additive manufacturing, and AMPP’s new laser ablation standard as part of Wednesday's educational offerings at the AMPP Annual Conference + Expo 2025.

The day starts with “Unlocking the Power of Machine Learning: Forecasting Acidizing Corrosion Inhibitor Performance” from 8:00-8:30 a.m. in Room 104A. This session introduces a machine-learning model designed to enhance efficiency and minimize risks in acid corrosion inhibitor (ACI) testing.

Also, the “Additive Manufacturing Technical Exchange” from 8:00-10:00 a.m. in Room 202 A&B will address advances, challenges, and best practices for corrosion-resistant applications. Topics include material selection, process optimization, and performance evaluation in harsh environments.

In the evening, “Introduction to AMPP SP21511-1 Laser Ablation Standard & AMPP Guide 21611” will be held from 5:00-5:30 p.m.in Room 101E. This session will explore AMPP’s new laser ablation standards for corrosion control, focusing on its safe, consistent application for coating removal and surface cleaning.

These sessions are just a snapshot of the vast range of educational content being offered this week. The complete conference schedule is available here.
