For many attendees, a full week of activities at the 2026 AMPP Conference + Expo in Houston begins with a fun and relaxing round of golf on Sunday morning, all while networking with other industry professionals.
As the host site, the Lakes Course at Wildcat Golf Club offers a roller coaster of elevation changes and water hazards that are sure to challenge even the most seasoned golfers.
Each year, the Darrel D. Byerley Memorial Golf Tournament serves as one of the flagship fundraising events of the EMERG Student Outreach Program, which is run by the Association for Materials Protection and Performance (AMPP).
The itinerary for this year’s golf event is as follows (all times local):
— 7:30 a.m.: Registration, Breakfast, Warmup
— 8:30 a.m.: Shotgun Start
— 1 p.m.: Lunch & Awards
We’ll have a full recap of the winners in a future edition of the AMPP 2026 Show Daily, along with on-site photos, so check back later in the week for that! A complete list of sponsors, whose support makes the tournament possible, is available below.
