AMPP Hosts 2026 Honoree Night at Houston’s Daikin Park

By Ben DuBose, News Editor, AMPP Publications

Wednesday’s Honoree Night brought the Association for Materials Protection and Performance (AMPP) community together to celebrate individuals whose leadership, research, and service have made lasting contributions to the corrosion control profession.

Held at Daikin Park’s Union Station Lobby, the evening featured networking, celebration, and recognition of members whose work continues to advance the materials protection and performance industry.

“Honoree Night is one of my favorite things,” said Greg Muha, Director of Conferences, Exhibits, and Sponsorships.

“It can get overlooked a bit, but when you think about all the time our volunteers put into what they do, this is the one night a year where AMPP says, ‘Thank you to all those people who are the catalysts that make all this come to life.‘ It’s great that they can be honored, and their families actually come in a lot of times with them, to be there and take part.”

Daikin Park is the home of the Astros, Houston’s storied Major League Baseball (MLB) franchise. As a result, many of AMPP’s members and guests took advantage of the unique photo and video opportunities at the historic ballpark.

“It’s a beautiful venue,” Muha said.

But what was most important, of course, was announcing and presenting the awards themselves. The complete list of 2026 Service, Technical, and Project Awards is available here.
