After presenting their research projects this week, the winners of AMPP’s 2024 Student Poster Session will be announced in a ceremony on Wednesday afternoon.

Student posters have been on display since Monday in the Exhibit Hall. These posters, created by students from undergraduate and graduate programs around the world, showcase student research on a variety of topics in corrosion science, corrosion engineering, and applied corrosion technology. Posters will be available for viewing until the ceremony, so make sure to stop by to view the posters before the ceremony begins.

Category submissions include:

  • Pourbaix, focusing on subjects of corrosion science;
  • Fontana, focusing on subjects of corrosion engineering;
  • Herro-Appleman, focusing on subjects of applied materials protection technology.

In all, the AMPP Research Committee is awarding over $15,000 in total prize money to the Student Poster Session winners. Prize awards are $2,000 for first place, $1,500 for second place, and $1,000 for third place in designated categories.
