Greetings from New Orelans, or NOLA for short!
The 2024 AMPP Annual Conference + Expo commenced with gusto at Sunday’s Opening Night Reception. This year’s event, co-sponsored by AMPP and Carboline, began at 5:30 p.m. on March 3 and ended about two hours later.
The theme, Mardi Gras Mambo, showed up throughout the great hall with colorful lights and decorations. A large, lit “AMPP & Carboline” sign celebrated the co-sponsorship across the room’s center.
This year, Carboline offered a VIP area in the back for attendees, as well as lively music by a DJ; food and drink stations around the hall; and a photo booth station. Party-goers mingled inside and out to say hello to friends, colleagues, and business associates, all while connecting with new faces, as well.
It’s the kickoff to another great conference. Here’s to the week ahead!
AMPP, American Water Works Association Host Joint Workshop In a joint workshop, leaders from AMPP and AWWA explored common approaches and synergies to achieve shared goals for water/wastewater infrastructure asset management and sustainability. This can be done by optimizing life-cycle costs through proper corrosion control.

With Scholarship Awards, EMERGing Leaders Bash Celebrates FutureAMPP’s 2024 Scholarship Awards Ceremony, held as part of Tuesday’s EMERGing Leaders Bash, recognized this year’s student scholarship and award recipients. Then, the evening of celebration transitioned to a live concert with a dance floor.
