Monday’s Educational Highlights: Coatings, AC Interference, HF Alkylation

Held inside Nashville's Music City Center, Monday’s educational sessions at the AMPP Conference + Expo 2025 will offer valuable insights into a diverse range of key industry topics.

Start your day with “Coatings 101,” a workshop designed to provide an introduction to protective coatings projects, covering everything from project needs to common challenges. It runs from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in Room 207 A.

“AC Interference and Mitigation at Pipeline Facilities—Case Study” presents lessons from a 2021 project in Fort McMurray, Alberta, Canada. This session delves into alternating current mitigation strategies, challenges faced by installation crews, and design modifications. Join this discussion from 9 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. local time in Room 104 B.

Concluding the morning, the “Hydrofluoric (HF) Alkylation Technical Exchange” (11 a.m. to noon, Room 205 C) will bring together experts to explore corrosion risks, material selection, inspection, and safety issues related to HF alkylation. This session highlights best practices and emerging technologies in refining operations.
