Proxxima, AMPP to Welcome Guests to Opening Reception

By Ben DuBose, News Editor, AMPP Publications

Each year, on the Sunday evening of conference week for the Association for Materials Protection and Performance (AMPP), a festive reception welcomes attendees and other distinguished guests to the host city.

For the 2026 AMPP Annual Conference + Expo, attendees and exhibitors will interact over drinks and hors d’oeuvres at the Houston Ballroom inside the Marriott Marquis. The Marriott Marquis is an official show hotel and is in immediate proximity to Houston’s George R. Brown Convention Center, where the show’s main events will take place throughout the week.

For the Opening Night Reception, which takes place from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. local time, drink tickets will be provided at conference registration.

This year, Proxxima and AMPP are cosponsoring the Opening Night Reception. In a statement, the organizations say they are bound together by a “common vision of corrosion prevention, environmental preservation, and education.”
