This year, a trio of events at the 2026 AMPP Annual Conference + Expo highlights the evolving role of women in the corrosion and materials protection industry while aiming to provide women with the requisite tools to excel in their careers.
Up first is the ticketed “Women of AMPP Breakfast” on Tuesday, March 17 from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. local time. That breakfast will be immediately followed by the nonticketed “Women of AMPP Panel,” which runs until 10 a.m. that morning.
This panel brings together respected female leaders from across engineering, asset management, coatings, research, and operations. Together, they will share candid insights into their career journeys, the challenges they have navigated, and the opportunities they see shaping the industry’s future.
Next is the “Women of AMPP Mentor Connect — Speed Mentoring” event, which will be held from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday. This event pairs emerging professionals and future leaders with experienced industry mentors in a series of focused, small-group conversations.
Attendees will be able to ask questions about career pathways, gain practical insights, and build relationships to help further their careers as they meet multiple senior leaders from across the industry. There will be limited seating for this event, and attendees are encouraged to register in advance here.
Finally, the third and final event is the new “Women of AMPP Global Workshop — Launching WOA in Your City” event on Wednesday, March 18, from 2:30 until 3:30 p.m. local time. This workshop is for those interested in launching or strengthening a Women of AMPP (WOA) initiative in their local community.
According to organizers, the workshop will provide practical guidance on how to structure and position WOA in a chapter or state. It will also feature strategies to secure leadership buy-in and member engagement; plan impactful events and initiatives; and build sustainable momentum and growth, all while leveraging global support, branding, and resources.
Women of AMPP Forum Highlights Leadership and Mentorship“This morning’s Women of AMPP Breakfast and Forum, our largest yet, reinforced something I believe deeply: growth comes from staying uncomfortable and being willing to change,” said Rebecca Griebe, Senior Director of User Experience at AMPP.
