By Sammy Miles, Managing Editor-in-Chief of CORROSION journal

AMPP’s 2026 service and technical awards will be presented on Wednesday, March 18 at the association’s annual Honoree Night. The event takes place from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. local time.

Held in the Union Station Lobby of Daikin Park (home of the Astros, Houston’s Major League Baseball team), the program recognizes individuals and teams that advance the corrosion and protective coatings industry through innovation, leadership, and meaningful contributions.

These awards highlight the commitment of AMPP and its members to strengthen their profession and move the industry forward. With awards celebrating achievements in research, technical excellence, education, mentoring, and field work, Honoree Night provides a chance to celebrate the breadth of service and the impact made by those in the global community. The event will also include entertainment, heavy hors d’oeuvres, and networking.

Tickets for the event cost $95 and are available through conference registration while supplies last. The full list of AMPP’s award recipients can be found here: https://ampp.org/membership/member-resources/awards/2026-award-recipients.
